The IBSL Level 1 Award in British Sign Language Studies
This is one of a range of qualifications that have been developed to provide steppingstones in a pathway that could ultimately lead towards qualified sign language interpreter status, or a career working with Deaf people in situations where the use of sign language is an everyday communication tool.
It has been mapped to the National Occupational Standards for languages established by SkillsCFA.

SmartSigns BSL was established by Amy Kelly in 2012 in Newton Abbot Devon. Amy has over 11 years of experience teaching BSL and it is something she really enjoys doing. Smartsigns is a fun and friendly training provider for Devon and the Southwest.
